Safely stepping out of your comfort zone

Date: May 4, 2026

Anke Odinga, one of the Dutch participants during the pilot in Braga, shares her experience of the training:

“I look back on two intensive training days in which so much was offered and shared. Rich in structure, theory, mindset, culture, warmth, and knowledge. There was space: within the group, within the language, and across the different cultures. Space to experiment, to make things your own, and to grow: both personally and as part of the training process.

The experience gave me a great deal to reflect on, particularly regarding how I would like to apply what I learned. I stepped outside my comfort zone and, in doing so, discovered new things about myself. I feel deeply grateful for these days and for everything I had the opportunity to experience.”

How can we avoid burnout while trying to coach and teach at the same time?

Set realistic limits. Use group coaching when individual sessions aren’t feasible, and support each other through regular team check-ins.
